About the Editor
Shafali founded Wavelength in 2004, which has been helping instructional
designers and eLearning programmers hone their skills through its
trainings and workshops. She remains the chief architect of all
the courses and trainings offered by Wavelength. Other than guiding
the design and development of Wavelength's online courses and trainings,
she conducts Instructional Design (ID) trainings and workshops for
organizations in the eLearning and training industry.
She is also the Editor and Publisher of Wavelength – The Indian
Instructional Design Newsletter, which is subscribed by more than
2000 ID, Content, and Training professionals across more than 80
eLearning & Training companies all over India. Additionally,
it goes to about 100 other IT and web-development companies that
employ content professionals, across India and Asia-Pacific.
Shafali started her career in 1991. Since then, she has painted
her life in many different hues of which Instructional Design became
permanent. Until 2004, she worked as Senior Consultant - Instructional
Design with one of the large eLearning organizations of India. She
has worked on various eLearning projects for international as well
as national clients. She has developed content in areas ranging
from K-12 to Higher Education, and from corporate soft skills to
technology.
On one hand she loves to develop innovative and effective learning
strategies, and on the other she enjoys developing tools for increasing
the effectiveness and efficiency of Instructional Design. Her experience
in Media, Authoring, and Project Management complements her understanding
of Instructional Design and makes it more potent.
She is a B.Tech and a post-graduate in Marketing. She also holds
a Diploma in Multimedia Technologies. Shafali currently serves as
Director - Design and Development for Wavelength as well as for
Innoken Games.
