Welcome to this edition of Wavelength.
I can feel the heat despite the air-conditioning. Outside these
walls, the temperature has already crossed over to the wrong side
of forty! Wrong side…well! Who is to say which side is wrong
or right. When I was young, I was enchanted by the theory of relativity.
Everything is relative; and whether something is on the right or
the wrong side; depends completely on your perspective. Actually,
perspectives also make us feel good or bad. For example, if your
organization decides to do something, it can be assumed that the
organization would stand to benefit from it. Now if you don’t
like it, it is because your perspective is different. This is also
true for transitioning to the use of eLearning.
The Mystery
of the Month article for April 2008 is called, “The
Trainer and the eLearning Adventure.” This article addresses
the trainers who work in organizations that are transitioning from
completely on ground training to either blended learning or eLearning.
The article explores this transition from the perspective of the
trainer; and attempts to list the things that “matter”
to the trainer.
This month, another small write-up makes its way into the Articles
section of Wavelength. This write-up is for like-minded individuals
who’d like to stop and think, “Which
Dream…” would I like to follow? This write-up is
a portal into a different realm that we try not to think of…the
realm of dreams that can’t become real, but that make us reflect
and consider the value that we receive for each invaluable minute
of ours.
The Cognitive Excursion
almost doubled the number of players it entertained last month.
Thanks! I hope that you will find the HIVE,
CLICK, and PEARL for April extremely interesting. Dear Trainers,
this month’s PEARL is especially designed for you.
