From the Editor's Desk - February
2006

Welcome to the February 2006 issue of Wavelength.

With the warmth spreading through the days, with Valentine’s Day just a week away, and with spring right around the corner; work doesn’t seem as appealing as it used to. Golden afternoons beckon us to leave our workstations and feel the tender warmth of Sun on our faces. This issue of Wavelength brings to you some light reading material to give you company.

The Mystery of the Month for February features – “Knowing Knowledge Management.” This article focuses on peeling off the layers of mystery that hide the simple concept of knowledge management, more specifically, learning management, behind them. The article attempts to bare the concept and expose the mechanics of learning management systems and related concepts.

The serial “eLearning Project Management” also comes to an end this month. If you would like to propose an idea for the next serial, you are welcome. Please send me an email with “Idea – Serial” in the subject line.

The news this month is the launch of a new course for eLearning industry professionals. Effective Professional Communication in English Certificate (EPCEC) course attempts to assist the bright graphic designers and programmers express their ideas better. The content outline for this course is available at http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/english_communication_certificate.htm.
This course will follow Wavelength learning methodology customized to content type and audience, and would be similar to other Wavelength courses in duration and fee structure. The first group for this course is scheduled to begin on February 26, 2006. If you feel that this course could benefit someone you know, please let them know about it.

Wavelength is starting its next IDCWC course group on March 12, while the ASDC course group begins on February 12. The registrations for the IDCWC course are open. You are welcome to review the content outline for the course at http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/idcwc_details.htm and contact us for registration. Registrations are almost full for the February 12, ASDC course. As of today, two seats remain. The content outline for the ASDC course is available at http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/actionscript_certificate.htm.

I would also like to thank our subscribers for their overwhelming love and affection that comes to us through their subscriptions. This month Wavelength will reach more than 1200 eLearning professionals, working in 61 eLearning and 67 other IT and web development companies across India and Asia – Pacific. Please continue to motivate us through your continued support and recommendations. Wavelength promises to live up to your expectations.

Warm Regards,

Shafali R. Anand.
