Hello Friends,
Welcome to this edition of Wavelength.
After experiencing the vagaries of weather in January, the
comparatively warm February is a delight. We are standing on the
threshold of Spring. Beautiful, warm, and snuggly spring, which
paints the Earth in a fresh, luscious green. Spring that makes us
renew everything…our looks, our rooms, our lives, our work!
Spring makes us move faster and it makes us think clearer. It makes
us discard all that is useless and redundant so that we may have
space for the useful and efficient!
The Mystery
of the Month article for February 2008 is called, “The
Snakes & Ladders of Training.” Snakes & Ladders…doesn’t
it sound mysterious and fun? If it does, then it follows the principle
of inquiry arousal, and if it manages to catch your attention; the
principle really works! Well, this article discusses some Dos and
Don’ts (Voila!) of effective training.
This month, we also introduce a small and dainty section called
“The
Cognitive Excursion” to our newsletter. This section shall
be available at the Wavelength site and would interest those trainers
and instructional designers who are in love with training, learning,
and life. The humble beginnings of this section can be seen in the
HIVE and the CLICK. If you are wondering what they are, I invite
you to join Wavelength’s
Cognitive Excursion.
The second session of the IDSP Online
course shall end tomorrow and the third session will start on March
01, 2008. We welcome our new participants and hope that they too
will find the experience enriching and enjoyable. We have opened
registrations for the fourth session of the IDSP Online, which shall
begin on July 01, 2008. In our attempt to streamline our existing
and future courses, we have decided to offer all our courses, four
times a year. Also read the views
of the IDSP Online (first session) participants
If you have 4 or more years of experiences and If you are not
designing trainings/developing storyboards yourself but you have
to oversee a team that is engaged in design or development, or if
you are someone who needs to know the nuances of instructional design
for effective client interfacing; you are welcome to apply for the
IDSP Online. Please visit the IDSP Online
webpage for details.
The next session of the IDCWC Online
is scheduled to start on April 01, 2008. Registrations for this
session are currently open. Please find the details at the IDCWC
