Welcome to the second anniversary issue of Wavelength.
Two years ago, Wavelength was born. On January 04, 2005, the
first issue of Wavelength left my computer to arrive in some mailboxes.
Had the issue been capable of feeling, it may have borne the same
feelings in its heart that a new bride experiences when she first
arrives in the house of her husband. Her thoughts are varied –
she is happy yet anxious. She is worried about the first impression
that she would cast on her in-laws; she is worried about failing
to rise up to their expectations; she is also anxious about her
ability to learn the customs of the house, she would now call her
own.
The name that shall forever be etched in my mind is that of
Sushil Yadav, who became the first voluntary subscriber to the Wavelength
Newsletter. His subscription meant a lot to me. I read into that
act of subscription, an approval of Wavelength’s approach
– which fueled my passion to bring Wavelength closer to your
thoughts. More subscriptions followed at a rate that increased each
month. They became a continuous source of inspiration for me –
they inspired me not to let go of the primary reason behind the
existence and growth of this newsletter, which was the contextual
applicability of the concepts discussed through it. Wavelength stands
for India’s quality in eLearning and Training. I am thankful
to the industry for acknowledging the capability of Wavelength’s
course participants, to all our course participants for placing
their faith in us, and to our elite readers for encouraging us.
January, it seems, plans to correct December’s folly.
The morning fog has returned and Sun is away napping. It’s
extremely cold today and my fingers are threatening to go on strike…yet
when the thoughts flow, they warm up! Let us beat the cold by igniting
the fire of learning. This month, the Wavelength article “,
Learning Arrives at Your Doorstep!”
introduces the magic that RSS weaves on the web. It introduces some
patterns of learning from the future. What amazes me is that when
we feel that there isn’t any way to make things better; someone
somewhere comes up with an idea to do so.
For the past few months, we’ve been receiving queries
for our Free workshops too. The Instructional
Design for Trainers Workshop and Instructional
Design Orientation Workshop were organized on January 7 and
14. The ActionScript Orientation
Workshop shall be organized on January 21.
We are organizing the Instructional Design and Content Writing
Training Workshops and ActionScript with Object Orientated Programming
Concepts Training Workshops in February 2007. If your organization
or you are interested in participating, please send your queries
to springworkshops@vibrantwavelength.com
If you are interested in joining the Instructional
Design & Content Writing Certificate Online (IDCWC Online) Course
session April-June 2007 send your queries to idcwconline@vibrantwavelength.com.
Your applications for the April-June 2007 session should reach us
latest by February 28, 2006. Click http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/idcwc_online.htm
for the details of this course and the application process.
The next course groups for both the IDCWC Contact course as

AS2OOP course, classes will begin on February 24, 2006. If you wish
to enroll for any of the above courses, call us at 9810324284/9810412297/0120-4315505.
As we celebrate our two-years of existence, I request you to
continue your patronage of Wavelength, the Indian Instructional
Design Newsletter. If it has added some value to your life, do let
us know by writing to us. We wish you knowledge, love, fun, health,
and wealth in this New Year!
Warm Regards,
Shafali R. Anand.
