Welcome to this edition of Wavelength.
July has continued to follow the unpredictable and desultory
methods of June…or is it just the aftereffect of the games
June played? After all July has had a checkered track record, with
each day trying to make us long for yesterday. When the sky is cloudy,
we curse the whether for a lack of rain…we say, “The
heat of Sun is better than the suffocating humidity of today.”
Then when the sky turns dark and water splashes down, our city-drains
begin to choke and splutter, and we look at the sky to ask, “When
will it stop?” And again, when the sun blazes down upon us,
we cry, “Oh, isn’t this supposed to be July –
what happened to the rains?”
Are we ever satisfied with the state of affairs?
When our organizations are eLearning-free, we wonder about
the magic of eLearning; then we begin to develop eLearning content,
all the time sighing that we probably were better off before; and
finally when we have eLearning, which in many cases doesn’t
turn out to be as effective as we expected it to be, we try to free
ourselves from its tangles, and we say, “eLearning –
it doesn’t work!”
The magic of eLearning works only when a magician plans and
organizes its performance. Are you that magician? Have you been
selected by your organization as one of those who would pioneer
the implementation of eLearning in your company? If you are, then
the Wavelength article, “The
Mechanics of eLearning Content Development” is for you.
Wavelength has always tried to bring the magic of instructional
design and eLearning to you. It’s done this through its courses
(online as well as contact), and its training programs & workshops
(both paid and free.)
In August, we bring to you another such workshop. This workshop
is specially designed for those trainers who are currently engaged
in implementing eLearning for their organizations.
Here are the details of this training workshop.
