Hello Friends,
Welcome to the June ’07 edition of Wavelength’s
Instructional Design Newsletter.
The weather department has made the announcement. Monsoons
are expected to arrive in the capital on July 2, 2007. I hope that
the weather department has received the information from a trustworthy
source, and that the monsoons arrive as announced. Talking of announcements,
Wavelength too has an interesting announcement to make. I shall
shortly write once again, and inform you of the surprise that we’ve
created just for you.
This month, the focus of the Mystery
of the Month is at a very precious location – the limelight
this month is on the Trainer’s Heart. Oh yes! A trainer
too has a heart that jumps and dances, pirouettes and leaps; when
a training program wins the audience over; but that also lurches
and falls, slips and slumps; when the audience doesn’t respond.
This article, “A Journey into the Trainer’s Heart!”
looks into some overlooked reasons for audience-apathy.
Now about the workshops:
The 5-Day Workshops in July:
A. The Instructional
Design & Content Writing Training Workshop (July 16 –
July 20, 2007)
B. The ActionScript
2.0 (with OOP module) Training Workshop (July 30 – Aug
3, 2007)
The Instructional Storytelling and SCORM workshops in June ended
successfully with full houses drawn from organizations such as Airtel,
Keane Worldzen, Sify eLearning, Jaiprakash Industries, ST Microelectronics,
Tarang Software Technologies etc. We are still receiving inquiries
about the next set of these workshops, which we are glad to announce
as follows:
The 1-Day Workshops in August:
1. Instructional
Storytelling Workshop (August 18, 2007 – Saturday)
2. SCORM Training Workshop
(August 25, 2007 – Saturday)
If you want to attend these workshops, write to us at connect
[at] vibrantwavelength [dot] com for the registration forms and
other details.
The next course groups of our contact courses in Flash, ActionScript,
and Instructional Design are beginning in the month of August. If
you are interested in attending any of our courses/trainings, please
write to us or call us.
As I mentioned earlier, I shall shortly connect with you once
again. Take care and continue to smile.
Thanks and Warm Regards,
Shafali
