Hello Friends,
Welcome to this edition of Wavelength - The Indian Instructional
Design Newsletter.
With the cricket fever gripping almost all of us with a ferocity
that belies the calm exterior portrayed by the game; most of us
have become oblivious to weather’s antics. Our cricket team
suddenly found an inner power that made them win when advertisers
were threatening to pull out their ad-campaigns. Their performance
was certainly far more captivating than the hailstorm that some
of us experienced in Delhi a few days ago – hailstorm with
the sun shining bright! So far, this year has been the year of surprises.
We’ve had surprises on both ends of the good-bad spectrum.
Nithari killings, Woolmer’s sad but mysterious demise, even
the vagaries of weather, form the negative extreme of this spectrum;
while Viru’s performance, India’s economic performance,
the dazzling yearly increases in salaries, the expected growth in
global outsourcing – all these smile at us from the positive
side of the spectrum.
Yet another surprise for the special eLearning and ID community
(of course, from the glowing positive end of the surprise spectrum)
comes from Wavelength. Wavelength adds three more flowers in its
bouquet of courses and services.
Wavelength – The Indian Media Newsletter:
Wavelength now launches the Media Newsletter for graphic designers.
This newsletter will address the graphic designers from the digital
media perspective. It shall aim to connect the media designers of
the web, print, and eLearning industries throughout India and aid
their quest for relevant knowledge in the areas of art, design,
media technology, inspirations, and media related humor. Those who
already subscribe to Wavelength’s ID newsletter may not fret
that the media newsletter too will follow the textual theme –
I assure you, it will be full of vibrant colors and media-rich content!
Some of you who are media designers (and we know that you are)
will automatically begin to receive the Media Newsletter. You will
have the option to unsubscribe, which I hope you will not feel like
exercising. I request all our other subscribers to gift a subscription
of the media newsletter to their graphic designer friends and associates.
Flash Certificate Course (FCC):
The course that we bring to you is Wavelength’s Flash Certificate
Course (FCC) a contact program of four weeks duration, for which
classes will be held on Sundays. The audience for this course are
all those who have no exposure to Flash at all. This four-week contact
program shall be conducted on Sundays, and the pre-requisites include
ability to work on Photoshop, Illustrator, or Corel Draw; and graduation.
This course would also work as a bridge-course for JavaScript, C++,
C Sharp, Java, and VB Programmers who wish to learn ActionScript,
the programming language.
If you have friends who are looking at entering into the eLearning
industry with the ability to use Flash with a flourish, recommend
this course to them. This course, however, is currently being
offered only at Wavelength, Noida.
Comprehensive Content Review Services (CCRS):
This month we also launch Wavelength’s Comprehensive Content
Review Services (CCRS), where we offer the industry, review services
for Instructor-led Trainings (ILTs) and eLearning Content (Online
Content, WBTs, CBTs). These review services will include; storyboard
reviews as well as completed courses/training reviews for instructional
design and language. If your organization is interested in exploring
the possibility of associating with the passion and expertise of
Wavelength in instructional design; contact us by calling 9810324284/9810412295/0120-4315505
or sending an email at: ranjeet[at]vibrantwavelength[dot]com
On a different note, let me ask you a very important question
- Are you motivated?
Motivated…for what? Pshaw! You can’t even ask a truly
open-ended question any more. Well, motivated to read about magic.
Oh yes! About magic…because only magic can ensure that your
trainees/learners are motivated. Read about the magic trick to motivate
the learners by reading the Wavelength article, “The
Motivation Spell”.
Free Workshop - Media for eLearning:
In April, Wavelength shall bring you a FREE
workshop, “Media for eLearning”. This workshop is
intended for those graphic designers, who work either for the web-development
industry or the print industry; and who want to discover how media
creation and application for eLearning is different from that for
web or print industries. If you have have friends in media,
recommend this workshop to them.

the existing standards of eLearning content services and training
higher.
Thanks and Warm Regards,
Shafali
