Hello Friends,
Welcome to this edition of Wavelength.
Think about it. What is it that makes you feel bright on a
particular morning? Is it a good night sleep that you enjoyed the
previous night? Or is it the knowledge that there is no stinking
email waiting for you in your mailbox? Or, is it the fact that today
you shall be marching on…into a new world where things will
be different, and where you will carve a new niche for yourself?
I think that my mornings are brighter, when I’ve made
my decisions for the day, the previous night. When I know what I
would be doing on the day that just dawned, I feel great and alive.
I still remember that beautiful day about 10 years ago, when
I resigned from one of my previous jobs. I resigned because the
company that I worked with wanted me to signoff a shipment with
more than 30% defective pieces. I hated that job; I hated the daily
rigmarole of following up with the vendors when I had to sound nasty
while talking to people who were my senior in age as well as experience!
The day I resigned, I rose early suddenly realizing how beautiful
the world was. I smiled all the way to work. I walked in with my
head held high. I spoke with confidence, and I gave in my papers.
When I walked out, I was free. I was free to pursue whatever I next
chose to. I had faith in my ability to carve out a path that will
take me to my cherished destination – happiness.
Then on, I decided never to allow myself to be sucked into
a comfort-zone. I consciously began maintaining a diary where I
would review my feelings about my work, my job. Then on, I was never
again afraid of venturing out into the unknown. I had found the
fountain of self-motivation. Some slices of past experiences continue
to remind me of how foolhardy I was perceived to be, but I had the
conviction that my decisions were right. Self-motivation is about
identifying your own comfort-zones and destroying them systematically.
This month, the Mystery of
the Month article, “Motivation
– The Fire Within!” outlines one possible method
of motivating yourself. It is the method that I follow and I assure
you that it works for me.
- HIVE, CLICK,
and PEARL
Last month we introduced a small but exquisite section
called “The
Cognitive Excursion”. Our data informs us that this
section has been received extremely well by our elite audience.
Your enthusiasm has fueled the growth of this section, and so
this month, we introduce PEARL, another thematic word puzzle to
entertain and relax you. Now on, when you want to take a break,
take a cognitive excursion
with HIVE, CLICK and PEARL!

myself?
2. Am I comfortable with hands-on content creation?
