From the Editor's Desk - October 2009

Welcome to the October edition of Wavelength.

The weather is being rather silly. Not long back, in fact just last week, it was hot; and this morning it was cold. When I mean cold, I mean cold of the toe-numbing variety. On second thoughts, it could be that age has finally caught up with me. Whatever it is – I find it mighty odd that in a week’s time, I’ve moved from short-sleeves to long. Changes that are sudden, make me anxious. Do they make you worry too?

A change of a different kind is sweeping across our country. It is a positive change, provided we let it remain so. Organizations and Educational Establishments are realizing the importance of instructional design, and this need is now reaching people through job advertisements. Individuals are now wondering whether instructional design could be the job of their dreams. Wavelength’s Mystery of the Month article this month, “Instructional Design – Is it for Me?” (http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/should_i_learn_instructional_design.htm,) could help you decide.

While we speak of changes, there’s an announcement in order. The location of Wavelength’s office has now changed. Though still in Noida, we are now in a calm and more serene place, which aids us in our cognitive excursions. We hope that this change will help us create extraordinary content for our exceptional audience.

In the coming months, Wavelength has schedule some workshops. Here’s a quick glimpse. Please go through the corresponding pages by clicking the links.
