Welcome to this edition of Wavelength.
For most Indians, this month has brought a fairly mixed fare.
It seldom rains in September, but this year we had it wet, damp,
and dangerous. Other than the rains, this month brought the pain
of seeing the taxpayer’s money being flushed down the drain
into coffers yet unknown, in the name of the Commonwealth Games,
and also the Ayodhya verdict after a long suspension of sixty years.
Amidst all this was the news that India has been experiencing double-digit
GDP growth!
How has this month been for you?
If you haven’t given it a thought – take stock now.
The market is indeed opening up. There are jobs everywhere. There
isn’t a scarcity of jobs, only of skilled people who can take
them up!
Remember that there are two types of intelligences - the fluid intelligence
that helps you reason and think, and the crystallized intelligence
that’s made up of your skills and knowledge. You know that
you aren’t short of the former, and you also know that it
is the fluid intelligence that leads to skills and knowledge.
So, if you are wondering if one of those many fabulous job
openings that you see on all those job-portals, is for you –
it probably is. All they are looking for is the right skill, which
you can develop in a jiffy provided you make some correct decisions
– for instance, the decision of enrolling yourself for a Wavelength
course/training program!
If you are in a rush, and you think that you have it in you
to participate in one of our intensive workshops, you must look
at the announcement of our 3-day Instructional
Design for eLearning (IDeL) Open Workshop.
Here are the details.

Our world today is, in part, virtual. Every kid I know has
a Facebook page and every teenager I happen to meet has a blog.
I think that the Internet era has already begun. Today, if you
are a professional and if you seek growth, you need an online
presence, and then you also need to tell the world about it. Online
writing and promotion is a completely different ballgame. Writing
great content is just one part of it – the other part is
letting people know about your great content! The CWWC Online
is a course specially designed for those who want to create and
promote a strong online personality, through content that searchable,
scannable, and sticky.

Before I end my message, I should also tell you about Wavelength’s
Mystery of the Month article for September 2010, “Understanding
Memory - the Primary Agent of Learning” at: http://www.vibrantwavelength.com/articles/memory-short-term-long-term-how-it-helps-us-learn.htm.
“Remember” to read the article :)
I wish you all the best.
Warm Regards,
Shafali
